It's been said before on this very updates page, but it's worth repeating: Mike Relm is the reason that audiobytes for autobots exists. If I hadn't seen him perform live ~3 years ago, I probably wouldn't have been convinced that mixing songs together was worth my time. Since then, the guy always seems to be up to bigger and better things and landed a pretty desirable timeslot in the Gobi tent on day 2 of this year's Coachella music festival. I had to leave LCD Soundsystem (who put on a spectacular show) early to make sure I saw Mr. Relm's whole set and I must say it was worth the sacrifice. If you were in the Mojave tent and turned around at the right time you could see me blow by at full sprint to try to catch his opening notes, not a common sight in 100 degree weather or crowds of several thousand people.

Not only did I get to see the dude put on a ridiculously awesome show, I managed to get backstage and meet him after his set. He was very nice, approachable and didn't seem to mind hearing that he was the reason I mix tunes. I actually don't know what coherent sentences managed to escape me- I was retarded levels of excited/nervous and still a little winded from the power-jog I executed 30 minutes prior. This was one of the more joyous moments in my life and a very nice person (who happens to be a imeem staff member) captured it on digital film/uploaded it to the imeem Coachella page/linked to my site. If you're wondering how this all made me feel, just take a look at the picture below that says 1,001 words.

Not too shabby. You'll note I'm wearing a camping wristband AND a legit backstage (not those fake VIP) wristband, another not so common sight at Coachella. Take a look at this video of a portion of Mike Relm's set. I'm going to go try and be a student for a few more days.
